Cape Town

Sunday 17th to Tuesday 19th.  Cape Town is pretty special and we were lucky, but did not know at the time, but we had just arrived in our harbour front hotel and walked outside to see the clouds rolling of the top of Table Top and down the side at a rapid rate.  Apparently only happens about 40 times a year and they call it the Table cloth. It was pretty amazing.
Did a Table top mountain tour on Monday, spectacular and the Robben Island tour on Tuesday. I do not know how Mandela survived 18 years in this prison.  The coloured political prisoners were given long sleeve shirts and trouser plus shoes and socks.  The black political prisoners had short sleeve shirts and shorts and no shoes or socks.  They were fed half the amount that the coloured prisoners received and in addition they were given what was allegedly a enters drink but it was laced with a chemical to prevent then having children in future.  This caused a number of divorces are they were released from prison. They had hard labour every day in all weather. The Apartheid regime were so inhumane.  Tuesday morning a 4 am pick up to fly to Victoria falls.
